Continuing the tradition of sharing photos from the week on Fridays!
Thanks, Deb, for starting this journey!
Our beautiful Lake Morton, on Tuesday of this week.
We got to the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday. Three little babies greeted us as we entered
the property. So cute!
I drove back to Doc and Pistol this week since I missed them last week.
They have been joined by Danny (on the left) who is being boarded there.
All three got my love and some carrots and apples.
Such a pretty view from my perch on the patio!
Cattle have taken over the pasture where Pistol and Doc used to be. That's another baby!
Beautiful flowers blooming. I have no idea what it is but it has prickly thorns.
And more cattle saw us off as we left the property.
--------------------------------------------------
Just a quick note that my pre-op went fine yesterday. It was pouring rain on the way there which wasn't fun, but I got there just fine AND found a good spot in the parking garage, not too far from the elevators. I was given a mask at the entrance and had my temp taken before they would let me in, but let me in they did. It all took nearly four hours. Going over meds & history, X-rays, EKG, blood draw, peed in a cup, was interviewed by a case manager about my home and whether I needed placement in a rehab home, then had an interview with the anesthesiologist. Got it all done and got home right at 1:30.
I think I am good to go. I get the C-19 test on the 11th. The nurse said it takes about six hours to get the results and that they would call me at home. Right now the surgery is scheduled for 1:30, with arrival time at 11:00 a.m. Joe can only wait in the surgical waiting room and after the doctor talks to him when the surgery is over, he has to leave. He can't go to my room with me or even see me in recovery. I told him I didn't want him to bother staying. He can just drop me off like last time. No sense in him being there by himself for 4-5 hours and not even getting to be with me. Good grief!
So this is longer than a quick note, but now you are up-to-date! I'm just a little angry about the rules but understand why they are in place, and I sure don't want Joe to be exposed to C-19 or anything else. It's okay.
That's all I have for Friday and this first day of May.
Thanks for your visit!
