Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 327
Joyce has given us some great questions in this week’s Hodgepodge! Join in HERE for this fun link-up!!
1. What does/did Halloween look like at your house this year? Did you decorate? Pick pumpkins? Carve pumpkins? Expect trick or treaters? Wear a costume to a party or event? Make a costume? Feel glad you didn't have to come up with a costume? Cook a Halloween themed treat? Eat all the leftover candy?
I am happy and glad that I didn’t have to come up with a costume. Our Halloween looks like any other day here. We just don’t participate and were happy to hear that no kids will come knocking on doors here in our 55+ community. I know….bah humbug.
2. What are you waiting for? Elaborate
2. What are you waiting for? Elaborate
If you read my post yesterday, you know that I took a nasty fall, so right now I am waiting for my knee to stop hurting, my busted lip to get back to normal and the big bruise on my arm to go away. I’m so happy that it wasn’t worse. Could have been. Nothing is broken.
3. Do you wish you were friendlier, braver, more creative, more athletic, or something else? Explain.
3. Do you wish you were friendlier, braver, more creative, more athletic, or something else? Explain.
You know what? I can't think of a thing (unless it's to win the lottery!). I believe I am friendly, I'm usually pretty brave, I guess I could be more creative but do have a creative streak, I could care less about being more athletic.... So there you have it.
4. When it comes time to paint are you a do-it-yourselfer or do you hire someone? What was the last paint job completed at your house? What room most needs painting now? How do you feel about wallpaper?

First of all, I HATE wallpaper. I have had to scrape it off before and will never put wallpaper on the walls. In my younger years, I did all the painting. Joe and I painted the outside of our old house once. I painted all the rooms inside a couple of times. We hired someone to paint our new house inside, so that is the last paint job completed here and none of the rooms need painting just yet. Thank goodness!
5. What is one specific thing you felt gratitude for in the month of October?
5. What is one specific thing you felt gratitude for in the month of October?
I am grateful for cooler temperatures and less humidity here at the end of October.

I’ve had two falls in the last month and I guess I should mention that I am grateful that I wasn’t hurt worse than I was. Accidents happen in a flash and are never expected. I take so much for granted and must remind myself to slow down and be more deliberate in my movements now. I can’t rely on my legs to carry me the way they did when I was younger! The knees, even once I get the replacements, will never be young knees again! Slow down….
Happy November to you and thanks for your visit! Peace & hugs!!
