Saw this on Facebook from my friend, Lanie, who used to be on Multiply with a whole bunch of us who are now on Blogger....
It made me chuckle so I had to share it! I am more German than Irish, but with a maiden name like Kelly, in March I proudly claim all the Irish blood I have running through my veins!
I emptied three more 'large' boxes last night and it still doesn't even look like I've made a dent, but we are getting there!! It's not easy when I am working every day.
The Museum's Gala is this Saturday, so I have to find my Gala clothes (guest room closet, I think) and figure out what to wear this year. Nothing new, but I have some nice things to choose from. I'm a bruised, scratched up mess right now, so my top must have long sleeves. My hands are cracked and dry....washing dishes and things with bleach in the water. What was I thinking? Ashamed to even go to the nail place.
This will be my last Gala, since I'll be retired next year and we sure can't afford tickets ($800 a couple). It is the Museum's biggest fundraiser of the year, with a silent auction too. Makes for a very long day-night. We won't get home until after midnight, but it is fun to get dressed up and to enjoy a five-star meal with some of Lakeland's movers and shakers. (My profile picture is of us last year at Gala.)
Thanks for stopping by!! I am so thankful for so many blessings, including YOU! Peace & hugs!
