Happy Saturday....

I am happy to report that Onyx is doing great!  Our neighbor had to call us, to let us know he greeted her when she came in to check on him for us, while we were away yesterday.  He is still sleeping a good bit, and seeking my lap at every chance (which is fine!), but we can tell he feels more like himself.  His eyes are clear, he is eating and using the litter box.  Thank goodness!

Our trip down to South Florida yesterday went well.  We were on the road by 6:30 a.m.  Last year, it rained on the trip down.  This year, the weather was wonderful.  Joe got his work done, while I napped and finished one book and started another.  I opened the sun roof in the car, put my seat back and this was my view....

We had lunch together and were on our way home by 6:15.  Neither of us was hungry, so we didn't stop for eats on the road.  Saved us some time, since we got a later start back than anticipated.  We got home just after 9:30.  It was a long day, but the client really likes Joe, they have a (many years) history, and we came home with a nice check - makes the trip totally worth while.  :)

I have spent today, so far, holding Onyx.  Makes catching up on yesterday's blogs hard to do, so maybe later tonight.  We are heading for Mass shortly, then out to eat and a trip to the grocery.  Perhaps later this evening my lap will be cat-free and I can catch up with everyone!

We are staying in for the Super Bowl tomorrow.  Joe has requested Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches for dinner, so that will be easy to do for him.  We will be cheering for the Baltimore Ravens.  We bought into a little football pool, which will benefit our niece's sister, who is fighting breast cancer.  We already told them if our squares win, Julie can have our winnings.  She doesn't have insurance and needs some help with her medical bills.  Having a little wager will make watching the game even more fun.  Of course, I watch more for the commercials, but will be excited if the Ravens can pull out a win!

Hope you have had a good Saturday so far!  Peace, love & hugs.
