My Easter Weekend Recap...

The blessed Easter weekend is behind us already.

On Friday, I got word that my debit card was hacked by someone in Chicago.  Called the bank to cancel it, then had to go to the bank to pick up a new debit card.  What is wrong with people that they have to steal?!  Got that done and then got some groceries before going home.  My intention was to attend the Good Friday service at my church but I somehow zoned out on the time and missed it.

On Saturday, I boiled some eggs to make deviled eggs for Easter dinner at my boss's house.  I also made a broccoli salad to take.  Dee and Anne (both across-the-street neighbors)  popped in for a while.  I intended to get some cleaning done but did nothing after deviled egg and broccoli salad prep was done.

My church's Easter service was well-attended and beautiful.  I got home and loaded up the food and took off for Danon & Mali's house.  Danon's sister, nephew & family, his two daughters, Mali's daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, plus volunteer Monika were all there.  The food was amazing!  Ham, smoked turkey, several salads, and veggies... Yum.  We ate outside and the weather was perfect for picnic tables.  There was a birthday cake for Mali (early) that I did not eat.  I also didn't eat mashed potatoes or pasta salad and I got full and was satisfied with what I could eat.  Low/no carb is pretty easy to stick to.  I've lost 12 pounds!

When I get home from work today, I will get to that cleaning I put off on Saturday and will have some food prep to do for my church small group on Tuesday evening.  We will celebrate a birthday so I will make a cake for dessert. Better get busy!!

Thanks for your visit!

Peace & hugs!

He is Risen, indeed!!

  2. Terri, your Easter weekend sounded fabulous. Sorry about the debit card being hacked! I just don't understand that type of mindset with wanting to cheat people out of their money, information and time. Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

  7. Those carbs are what I love but I know I have to limit them.
Sounds like a successful weekend was had. Church was just so lovely here too, although the weather was quite cool and cloudy.

  8. Do you have any idea how/where those hackers got a hold of your debit information? These sorts of things frighten and anger me, both. I'm so glad you enjoyed a wonderful weekend!

  9. Oh, it sounds like you had a wonderful weekend and Easter, with the exception of the hacker thing. What a pain!! so glad you found out before it got too bad, but still... How wonderful that you are losing weight on that low/no carb diet. I'm not sure exactly what that looks like, but I am happy to hear it is working for you. And how nice that your boss and wife and friends invited you to Easter dinner. Sounds like it was yummy! Hope you have a blessed and beautiful week. We are getting some much needed rain, praise God!

  10. First of all, I'm glad your bank notified you about the card hack. Their fraud department must be on top of things. But I agree with you, why do people have to do mean things to other people? I know---the inherently sinful heart of man! Your Easter meal sounds delicious. And congratulations on losing 12 pounds. I need to lose at least that much, so I think I should take a page from your book and go low-carb. Because of a respiratory infection I've been battling for over 2 weeks, I missed both Good Friday and Easter Sunday services (Palm Sunday too). But, I am on the mend, so I will be at church next Sunday. Blessings to you!
