Lunch with Shirley on Friday was fun. She has a great sense of humor and we laughed a lot. She is also thrilled that her only child, David (single), is moving to Lakeland from Texas. She really needs him to be closer and I am so happy that he is making this move so he will be here to help his mom. She is 86 and I have noticed some failings. He will be here this week and will be house hunting.
On Saturday, I went to Lowe's to check out a few things. I bought some grass seed to sprinkle on my front patch to see if it will take root. Went to Publix for some Folgers Black Silk coffee. My new favorite and they had the Black Silk Keurig pods BOGO!! Yes!
The Hip-Hip Hooray is for getting my refrigerator fixed!! The technician came on Sunday. I told them I would be home by 12:30 (from church) and he was knocking on the door five minutes after I got home. He told me to give it 6-8 hours before I move food back but so far, (writing this on Sunday afternoon) it is getting colder and colder! I put a cup of water in the freezer and it is almost solid!! So Hip-hip Hooray!!
It's a busy week ahead. I see my Dermatologist after work today (Monday) and get my hair cut on Wednesday. If I'm lucky, my new glasses may get here mid-week!!

ReplyDeleteBlack Silk sounds good! Never tried it because Larry (hubby) buys raw coffee beans and roast them himself, Delicious!
And I'm so glad you got the refrigerator repaired! What a hassle not having it!!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad Shirley's son can move to Florida to help. Praise God. That's very loving of him. Hopefully he can find a place that's close and not grossly overpriced. Florida's gotten so expensive.

So glad you have your refrigerator back up and running, Terri! And it's also good news about Shirley's son coming to live near by. Yes, as my mother got older, I was grateful that she lived less than three hours away so we could visit often.

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for your friend Shirley to have her son come live nearby! that is a real blessing. I know we are very happy that we live within a mile of our oldest son and his wife, and our youngest son is about an hour away now, and if our grandson and his wife to be move down here permanently, we will have our whole family close by! I am very happy and thankful for that. Especially as we are getting older and need our family's help more often. Oh, I am happy for you to have your refrig. fixed! That is a real blessing, as nowadays most repairs to appliances cost more than a new appliance it seems, so you were blessed!! I got my hair cut last week and am adjusting to it. She cut off all the perm, and it looks kind of weird right now, so no pictures allowed. But the good thing about hair is, give it a couple of weeks and it will grow... Hope your new glasses come and that you adapt to them quickly! Be sure to take a picture of yourself in them with the new haircut so we can all see the new you! LOL. Have a wonderful week!
