Tuesday 4

♬ ♫ Summertime and the Living is Easy. ♩ ♪

Hey.. you're back!  Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4 where we just want you to meet new folks and get to know the ones you already know a bit better. Besides, it gives you something to blog about too.

This week let's talk about Summertime.

1. What gave you the most fun in summer as a kid or as an adult?  As a kid, no school!!  As an adult... when I worked, only the weather changed!  LOL

2. Does summer heat get to you? How do you cope?  The heat isn't too bad if it isn't humid.  The humidity is a killer here in Florida.  I cope by staying inside where the AC is on.

3.  Do you have summertime foods and drinks you really enjoy eating?   Does your menu change in summer?  I like soup better in the cooler months but this is Florida.  We can cook out all year long and we have fresh veggies and fruit year-round too.  I tend to cook more on top of the stove instead of things that go in the oven during the more humid months of summer.

4. Do you enjoy sitting outside or on the porch in the summertime?  How about some photos of where you enjoy being in summer.  I do not sit outside in the summertime here in Florida.  I love being outside October through March!!  This is my favorite view in the summer... from my happy place (recliner)!

Peace & hugs!

Psalm 31:24

“Be strong, and let your heart take courage,

all you who hope in Yahweh.”

  2. Your summertime view's the same as mine! Our 'feel like' temp yesterday afternoon reached 111* ... ugh. I may stop by the farmer's market this morning and pick up fresh veggies to make another instant pot-full of detox soup. I've been enjoying it cold, right from the refrigerator.

PS - Psalm 31:24 is sure a timely thought!

  3. Yep, I agree in the AC is the best in the summer. Especially on days like yesterday and today here in Ohio. But I know Florida is even hotter. Stay cool, my friend.

  4. Humidity is a killer and it is in full force. We have to enjoy that porch before June and after October:) I love to eat more fruit in the summer. I can get a watermelon and eat on it all day and I am good. Have to go wee wee all night though!

I love your view in your house.
The humidity here is awful too. I will be inside today. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

  6. Love your happy place, it's a great place to be happy!! Humidity is always high here, so uncomfortable outside. I try to get out early morning and late afternoon, it's still hot but a little more bearable. Hope you're having a great day.

  7. I don't mind getting out for a little bit but not to sit. I want to be inside with the air AND fans to sit! lol

  8. I agree...I work...so it all just feels the same except the weather. When my family was in Florida we always visited Oct-March. A few times we went in May and august and boy was that a killer.

  10. I wish we could enjoy eating and sitting on the porch in the summer, but between the heat, humidity and mosquitoes /wasps/deerflies, it's better to stay inside where it is cool. I like your view for summer. Funny though, when we were kids we didn't care about the heat. We just loved being outside!!

  11. Too many bugs in summer to eat outside. I love your favorite spot in summer! It would be mine too.

  12. It is so hot here in Alabama, too! To be outside right now, you would need to be IN a swimming pool!
