The lovely Princess Diana! She was so beautiful and was such a lady.
Lovely in emerald green!! But, she needs some shoes!!
Her birthday was July 1, 1961. She would have just turned 60 this year.

My thoughts: I, along with so many, was mesmerized by Diana back in the day. I took a vacation day to watch the wedding and followed her through her pregnancies and the devastation of her divorce. I lost interest after a while but was still shocked by her death and still wonder about those conspiracy theories. That aside, back to the shoes. As always, I couldn't wear any of them but she could wear them all. For this dress, I'll go with pair #3. The shoes could use some bling to match her tiara! What are your thoughts?
Peace & hugs!! Jesus loves us!!

I agree with you about shoes #3. The dress is beautiful, and I love the color, but it is rather plain for a princess, and the shoes would add some bling and elegance. I truly admired Princess Diana, and was very saddened by her untimely death. I think the whole world wept when she died. Thank you for this lovely portrait of her today.
ReplyDeleteShe was so pretty and we all loved following her. #3 too.
ReplyDelete#1... just because! What a tragic loss.
ReplyDeleteI, too, was enamored of Diana. I watched every moment of that wedding ... and the funeral, too. #3, hands down!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty color. I like #3 but without the spikey heel.
ReplyDeleteBlessings. xx
I do like #3, but #2 with that hint of floral on the heel, the high backs, and straps....hmm.
ReplyDelete#3 for me.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
#3
ReplyDelete#3 - to match her crown. I agree her death was senseless!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress- am all for pair #1 .
ReplyDeleteI like pair #1,this is a beautiful portrait of her. I got up early to watch the wedding and sadly, watched the funeral.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize we were that close in age for some reason. I always thought of her as being so much younger. Anyway, she was beautiful and rather fascinating. I pick shoe #2
ReplyDeleteShoe #3 for me, Terri. Yes, I loved Princess Diana and was so shocked by her death. I do remember that Mother Theresa died around that same time, but Diana's funeral sucked all the air out of the room.
ReplyDeleteYou're gonna have to fight me for the shoes! I want to wear #3, too!
ReplyDeleteI was just like you in following her. She got married and had kids about the same time I did so that added to my interest. I was shocked by her death as well.
ReplyDeleteI picked shoe #3 too.
