There isn't a linky and there aren't any rules.
This is all for fun and is just a whimsical thing.
Check out the dresses and tell us which you like the best!

Vintage fashion from the 1940s Sears Catalog!!
Count across 1-2-3 and tell us which one you are ordering!!
My thoughts: Vintage is so fun! I saw these and had to share. Back in the day I probably would have ordered #1 but with my old flabby self today, #2 would cover more so I'm going with #2. I LOVED it when the new Sears catalog arrived in the mail. Penneys, too. Who remembers the Speigel catalog? I still have a pair of earrings I ordered from the Speigel catalog 40 years ago or so.
Thanks for playing along today!
Peace & hugs, and remember that
Jesus loves you and me!!
Wishing everyone a blessed July!!

#2 here... I looked forward so much for the Sears Christmas toy catalog...good memories.. :)
ReplyDelete#3 for me. I loved looking through those catalogs.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
#2 for me too. My mom and I would fight over the Sears and Penny's catalogs when they came in. She would do all our back to school shopping from both, grin. P.S. On your comment from my blog; I would never ever be mad at you or anyone...and been still looking for a job elsewhere, grin.
ReplyDelete#3 for me. I LOVED the catalogs arriving. We got the Sears, but my cousins got the Spiegel catalog. In my mind, it was some kind of special:)
ReplyDeleteI like two but yellow is not my color so I will go for number three, some of my best colors.
ReplyDeleteI'd totally forgot the Spiegel catalog ... my mother's favorite! I really like all three of these. The 40's and 50's fashions, so feminine and classy. Well, if I can't have them all, I'll take #3. 😊
ReplyDeleteWell, if I looked like those models, I'd choose #3 and I think I will just leave it at that. The JC Penney's catalog was the favorite at our house (especially the Christmas one). I kinda miss all the hours we spent perusing the catalog.
ReplyDeleteNow you're talking! I like those fashions. We women didn't look like street walkers back then. I like #1 and #2, only I'd have to take the fuzzy dice off it. That would make me crazy(er). *lol*
ReplyDeleteBlessings. xx
I love all three of those fashions. Spiegel was late to the party in my state. I'm not sure we ever had a Spiegel store here. We did have Montgomery Wards and Sears stores here as well as the catalogs. Penney's stores are still here and I do sometimes shop in them.
ReplyDeleteNot that I could fit in any of them, but number three seems slimming! ☺
ReplyDeleteI LOVE #3!! And yes!! We got all three of those catalogs and we SO looked forward to the arrival of the new ones! Then we were allowed to have the old ones to cut paper dolls!
ReplyDeleteJeepers, I love all three! But yellow is not my color, so #2 would have to come in another color if they have it! Those are neat looking outfits. I wish they had such nice neat clothes today! It's so hard to find anything worth wearing in the stores today...(at a price I can afford, that is). I loved the Sears and Penney's catalogs. We also had Montgomery Ward. Not so much Spiegel, but I do remember it. I guess online shopping has taken over the catalogs, but the catalogs sure were fun! Thank you for sharing this with us. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteI would go for #2 as well. I remember poring over those catalogs too. So fun!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I loved those catalogs! The Sears Wish Book Christmas catalog came at the end of summer, and we had to take turns pouring over the pages. I used to practically memorize them, and when the girls in elementary school wore their Winnie-The-Pooh brand dresses, with the tucking, and maybe a white collar, I was so jealous. We were more of a K-Mart family. My mother would look at a dress in the catalog, and try to recreate it with no pattern. She did a remarkably good job, at least to elementary school me. But oh, how I would have loved one of those dresses from the catalog! But of these, I would choose #1, I like the look. Thank you for sharing this, so much fun!
ReplyDeleteMy mom made most of our clothes too and to get a store-bought anything was such a treat!!
DeleteI'm going with #1, Terri. Loved the vintage styles, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm choosing outfit #1. I love that style of skirt with the waistband, the tucks (or pleats) that soften the tummy area.
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember those catalogs. My sister and I used to go through them to make up our wish list for Santa Claus!
