Graduations and family gatherings had me digging through my stack of old photos again. I also found a couple of newspaper articles that made me smile for this Throwback Thursday.
Junior High School Band. I won a superior rating for a trumpet solo! I didn't even remember this, so it was fun finding the article.
I have posted the photo of my kindergarten graduation before but found this newspaper article about it. Small town Ohio newspaper thought a kindergarten graduation was newsworthy!
This is our nephew Lou, his wife Peggy and their first two girls, Jackie & Nikki. They were visiting us when this was taken out by our pool.
Jackie and Nikki are all grown up, out of college and Nikki is married. Lexie (in the middle) graduated from high school this year and is headed to Montclair State University. We are so proud of our great-nieces!
This is my nephew Michael. He was a cute little guy in this photo!
Now he is a cute big guy and graduated from Ohio State University a couple of weeks ago. He is facing five more years of school to become a doctor. I love what he put on his mortar board. My brother would be so proud of his two kids.
Enough of my bragging and memories for this Thursday! Thanks for checking in! We will be off to Georgia tomorrow and not back until Sunday, so it will be another weekend of catching up when I can. We won't have internet access at my sister's house and I'm not good at Blogger on my phone. Wishing you a good weekend!
Peace & hugs!

Awesome post, Terri. I already have planned what I am going to put on my mortar board; Send Money, lol.----Have a safe trip. Blessings
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful family and smart as well! I know you are looking forward to the trip and I will pray for safety as you travel. You TBT pictures are priceless!
ReplyDeleteMy mother would have cut out the article from our local paper and underlined my name too. I probably have a few such cuttings around somewhere. I know you're looking forward to seeing your sister and brother-in-law this weekend, so you'll probably be too busy to post anyway. Wishing them a happy birthday celebration and congratulations to these recent graduates.
ReplyDeleteMemories are so precious to us, thanks for sharing some of yours!
ReplyDeleteI remember doing solo ensemble too. I was often the pianist for people.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures! I love your nephews mortor board too!
This was fun!! So you played trumpet? Do you still play trumpet? I love to get people together to play, but I'm always disappointed in the number of adults who say they played an instrument in high school or college, but sold the instrument somewhere along the way.
