Friday Five....




  1. I am at an accounting seminar all day today (mentioned yesterday).  I enjoy this one, though, and we get breakfast AND lunch, plus some great information that I can actually put to work.  
  2. Joe got a new laptop computer and has been working all week to get his data downloaded from Carbonite and to put it in order the way he likes it. I'm glad he could get it and that it is working for him.
  3. The HR meeting last night, and the dinner (chicken, salmon, broccoli, rice...) were good.  The speaker's topic was employee hiring and retention.  He compared the process to dating and marriage.  Kind of interesting, actually, when the statistics are compared.
  4. I had a good and very productive day at work yesterday.  Felt great to get a couple of major projects actually done, especially since I'm not there today.
  5. Can you tell I don't really have anything interesting to post today?  I am thankful that you stopped by, though, and wish you a good Friday!
  6. How about a #6?  Today is my grandma's 96th birthday!!

    What a lovely lady! Happy birthday to your grandma. Glad you're going to enjoy the seminar. Still makes me chuckle, because numbers are so not my thing. lol I hope Joe will enjoy his new computer. Aren't you so glad you've got Carbonite! My computer crashed once and getting all my data back was so easy with Carbonite. (Yes, they should pay me for this! LOL)

    Hope the seminar has some good info for you. Your grandmother is a lovely lady....96 years - WOW. I think this time of year is quiet for a lot of us. Just left old man winter (or those north of you anyway) and fighting humidity and heat.

    Happy birthday to your grandmother. I hope you get to speak to her later. I suppose that Joe's new computer has Windows 10. Microsoft is offering it free for those of us with Win 7 and 8 at the end of this month. I'm hesitant about changing as I don't know if my printer will be compatible. Up until now I haven't used Win 8.
