Hello blogging friends, and happy Monday! I want to tell you about my weekend!!
On Friday morning, Anne and I went to Brandon so she could return a pair of shoes to Macy's. She did find another pair that she liked even better!! We shopped at Macy's and then walked to JCPenney before grabbing some lunch at the 'eatery' in the Mall. Anne wanted Chinese, so I'll introduce her to Portillo's another time. We got back home in time for Susan and me to go to the museum for the opening of our Sheriff's photography exhibit!
We arrived early enough to get seats in the auditorium, which has 150 seats. There was overflow seating in another gallery, with TV streaming.
When he finished his talk, we got some food, some punch, and then went upstairs to see his photographs.
It was fun connecting with former co-workers and a few other friends I don't see often, while we wandered around. Then we got in line to say hello and get our picture with the Sheriff. I'm so glad Susan went with me! We are so lucky to have him as our Sheriff, and I don't like to think about when he might retire.
On Saturday, I got some much-needed cleaning done in the morning. We didn't walk, but I got my steps in with the dusting, vacuuming, and mopping! Susan had an appointment, and Sandy isn't back yet. Yes, yes... I could walk by myself, but it's not nearly as much fun.
Yesterday, I went to church, and yes, I got my laundry done. I have a laundry closet, and I took this picture to share!
Anne popped over for a bit. She had been shopping and was proud that she didn't buy anything! She LOVES to shop (unlike me), so I applauded her for resisting.
So, let's see what this week has in store... First thing this morning, the roofing guy is coming to check on a leak I am still having in my back room that shares the carport roof. I think the horrid heat of these past few months has just shrunk the sealer and allowed some moisture to leak through. Fingers crossed that it isn't worse.
There is nothing on the calendar until Thursday's Bible study and dinner out. On Friday, Shirley and her son are coming over for her little birthday pizza and cake. So, an easy week ahead with no excuse for not getting a few things done. I have a stack of clothing to donate, so I need to get that done. I do have a few more things to look at and decide on whether to keep or pass along.
