A Look-Alike Sunday Stealing....

Thanks to Bud for this week's Sunday Stealing!  Join in HERE.

The Random Questions, Part 683

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. You may have heard the expression, “honor among thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from. We also provide a link to the victim's questions in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from recently asked questions from a previously post.

We found this gem from a blogger named Kontan from Kontan’sPlace. She explains that she stole the questions from "Tense". But, it was probably stolen at that blog as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Please consider liking WTIT on Facebook. Click here. Or on Twitter @wtit.

Sunday Stealing: The Random Questions, Part 683

1. How old do you look?  Well, I'm 65.  People usually say I don't look 65, but I don't know what that really means....maybe I look 75!! LOL

2. Where do you live?  Lakeland, Florida

3. Are you waiting for something?  July 31st.  Retirement day!

4. What’s one pet peeve of yours that is not common?  When there is an "open here" on a box or bag and it doesn't work.  Makes me crazy!

5. Do you want/have kids?  I have two wonderful stepsons and four grandchildren. I'm a happy woman.

6. Have you ever thought about converting your religion?  I was baptized Presbyterian, grew up in the Methodist Church, which became the United Methodist Church in 1968, and then I converted to Catholicism in 1983.  Sometimes I have to admit that I long for the United Methodist Church again.  I've never really been a comfortable Catholic.  There, I've said it.  I do love my parish church and we have many friends there.  Joe is a cradle Catholic and will never leave the church, though he is questioning the current Pope, as are many.

7. Last shocking news you heard?  I am shocked by the headlines in the newspaper nearly every day.  Nonsense that should not be happening. People need to find peace and find God.

8. What was the last thing you drank?  Spring water.

9. Who do you most look like in your family?  My dad.

10. If you could have something right now, anything, what would it be?  A winning scratch off lottery ticket could bring earlier retirement and help for several family members!!

11. Where do most of your family live?  They all live north of here.

12. Where did you grow up?  Ohio

13. Where do you want to go on vacation?  Back to Italy would be lovely, but I would also enjoy Scotland, Ireland, and Germany (my roots).

14. Have you ever had a panic attack?  No, I don't think so.

15. What can’t you wait for?  Duh.....retirement!  LOL

16. When’s the last time you told someone you loved him or her and meant it?  Joe, every day at least once and most recently our son Jeff.

17. Have your parents ever smoked pot?  I don't think so, and neither have I.

18. Want someone back in your life?  I would love to have my parents back in my life, healthy and enjoying life.

19. What do you order at the bar?  I can't remember the last time I ordered something "at the bar".  Occasionally I will have a glass of wine, a martini or a margarita at a restaurant before dinner.  Not often, because I think the prices are ridiculous.

20. When was the last time you cried really, really hard?  The hardest I ever cried was at my mother's funeral in January 1996. Heartbroken sobs that I couldn't stop.

21. What are your nicknames?  Terri is a nickname for Teresa. My high school friends called me by my last name...Kelly.  My dad would call me Tee or Tee Lee.  Joe calls me babe, sweetheart, honey.....

22. What is your favorite thing to eat with peanut butter?  Apple slices.

23. Where were you on July 4th, 2008?  Here in Lakeland, probably happy to have the day off and a long weekend, since it was a Friday.  We don't travel on holidays.

24. If you could go forward in time, how far forward would you go?  To August 1st, because I would finally be retired!

25. If you could go back in time, how far back would you go?  Ah heck, you can't go back.  There are people I would love to hug one more time, but I know I will see them again one day. I have no regrets and there is nothing I would change.

Hahha! I think we should lie about our ages in reverse. If you are 60 but say you are 70 everyone will think you look fabulous!

  3. Terri, you know I am a Protestant who is a wanna be Catholic. :) But I agree with Joe about this new Pope, I loved Pope Benedict and I was sad when he stepped down.

  4. JMO, you do not look 65--much younger than that. I was Catholic, but converted to my husbands faith-Baptist. I also question the pope...and know a lot do.

    Enjoyed the meme, Terri. smiles

  7. Liked these questions and you had good answers. I would also love to visit Germany, Switzerland and Austria, but at my age and stage of life, doubt I will. My only nickname is Lint, but of course the grands call me Nana, which I love. Jim calls me 'hey' or Linda! lol

  8. Terri, you definitely don't look 65; and certainly resemble your dad!
On all 4 flights last month, I was SO confounded by the wee packages of nuts ...ready to tear them with my teeth. At home, I just grab the scissors and don't bother. Who needs more stress in their lives?

  9. Great answers to the questions!! I love reading these because it helps get to know you even better...and realize we think a lot alike....I think that's a good thing. ;-) I loved the song lyrics you left on my blog...hadn't thought about that song in a long time. We used to sing it in church when I was a little girl...a looooong time ago. LOL

  11. I know you are a happy person because it shines through in all your pictures. Plus, I've met you so... :) If you win the lottery, I'd like to be considered a needy family member. LOL I am shocked by the news every day, too. At least it doesn't have me crying every time now. Mostly, I am living in fear. Which is awful but, there you go. I'm so excited for your retirement. I hope it will get you back up our way so you can meet Miss Marcy!
