Our new-to-us dining room furniture was delivered yesterday. The electrician came to install extra outlets in Joe's shed and the 'bug people' came to do their once-a-year insect protection for us. The closet folks came Tuesday and I don't think they will be able to help us. When I explained what we needed, he had this blank look on his face.....
The roofers will do the roof on Monday. Our garage sale is this Saturday. Our son arrives on Friday and we are so happy for his help. I measured all the windows for curtains. We got the paint Tuesday night and our painter will start on Saturday. He says two days....
Here is the dining room we purchased. Joe and I are both very happy with it.
The table has a leaf and there are eight chairs.
Missing you all! Keeping you in my prayers and appreciate those keeping us in yours! I'll check in as I can! Peace & hugs!!

Very nice, Terri!!! Keeping you in prayer and how exciting. We are discussing about another major move for when I finish school...going where the jobs are...we shall see.
ReplyDeleteI love your new dining room set. Sounds like everything is moving along. Can't wait to see more pics. Keep us updated when you can.
ReplyDeleteYou have been in my thoughts and prayers this morning because there is always too much to do in a move. So excited everything is moving along for you - - - and you are getting healthier?!!! I think you passed the cold to my husband. haha At least his is currently just in his head and he is a bit better today.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking time for a quick update!
Love your new furniture!! Things seem to be moving at a faster pace now....won't be long until you'll be in your new home!! Thanks for keeping us updated.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your move is going so smoothly. Your dining set looks pretty. Is that Early American style? Good luck with this coming week. Such an exciting time.
ReplyDeleteNo...not early American. The color is not really maple. I called it more "traditional" but I'm not a furniture period expert by any means. My mom had early American when I was growing up and this is not like hers was.
DeleteLooks like you are making progress. We now have a for sale sign in our front yard!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! Keep us posted!
DeleteI have a friend who just got a similar table & they painted it & refinished it - it was SOOOO cute ;) Just a toss out idea ;)
ReplyDeleteIf they would come down and do it for me.....
DeleteBeautiful furniture. Glad everything is going so smoothly. Take some time to breathe.... taking care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteExcellent choice! Take care of you along the busy way.
ReplyDeleteThings are moving right along! This is so exciting! I can't wait to see pictures of the new house. And that furniture is fantastic! HUGS to both of you!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! I am unpacked, but still need bits and pieces and the list feels a little never ending. But it's great to be in : )
ReplyDeletewow! It is all coming together...right on schedule! God is busy at work behind the scenes keeping everything going just perfectly. Love the dining set. That will be wonderful for entertaining family and friends. So happy for you.
ReplyDeleteVeeery attractive, Terri! I mostly like the tile and hardwood juncture. We had someone come out and give us a quote last night, but Tom's having difficulty imagining how it's going to look.
ReplyDeleteNice furniture! I prefer squared off tables (like yours) over round or oval. Placemats tend to work better with tables with corners.
ReplyDeleteSo glad things are going well. Sorry about the closet people...
I love that new furniture! Too bad about the closet thought!
ReplyDeleteThe dining set looks beautiful. A blank stare from the closet guys? Aren't they the ones you hired for that kind of job before?
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful dining room set !
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the schedule you're on. Things are progressing rapidly. Enjoy the ride!
ReplyDeleteSounds like things are going to plan, even with the extra decorating thrown in. Lovely table and chairs etc. I hope you're feeling better and less stressed now you can see some light at the end of the tunnel.
ReplyDeleteSo much excitement!! Love the new-to-you furniture. Have fun with the new place, Terri!
