Monday Musings...

 Sharing my weekend with you...

I don't usually include Wednesday as part of the weekend, but that's when I had lunch with my dear friend Shirley.  I invited her to come to the house and I would order pizza for us. Since Mr. G was here working in the guest bathroom, we invited him to have some pizza too.  It was fun and Shirley said she really liked eating in and that she would order pizza at her house next time.  This picture is from a few years ago.  Shirley is 88 years young and such a dear soul.

On Thursday, I couldn't go to Bible study because the HVAC guy was coming to repair the blower on the system.  It is still under warranty so the part was free.  Labor was not free.  The Mas Verde dinner group went to Chili's on Thursday.  I posted about that on Friday.  We were underwhelmed and won't keep it on our rotation.

Friday was a free day. Mr. G didn't come (primer paint drying).  I finished switching out the knobs on cupboards and drawers in the kitchen and love how it looks.  I have enough left to swap out cupboards and drawers in both bathrooms.

I went down to Punta Gorda on Saturday to meet my grandson Tristan for lunch.  Lauren and Jeremy didn't come.  It was Jeremy's birthday weekend and they are also busy looking for a house to buy and working on wedding plans.  I did have a couple of texts from Lauren.  Tristan left Florida yesterday (Sunday) and has possession of this new apartment today and the moving van on track for tomorrow.  He has been working at his new job for three weeks, from home, but will be going into the office this week, in DC.  His apartment is in Arlington, VA.  He promised to send me pictures.  I lived 12 years in the DC metro area.  It is exciting when you are young.  I was over it (and so was Joe).  Tristan is young.  He will enjoy it.  He also has Uncle Jeff in Alexandria and a whole bunch of cousins in Bowie, MD.

Some of you might remember the damaged docks and boats after Helene and Milton went through.  I posted the first picture in November.  In the second photo, taken Saturday, the boats are gone and the docks are being re-done by the marina.  Sorry for the glare, taken through the window.

Our usual spot by the window.  We really enjoy this as our meeting place.
The Captain's Table, at Fisherman's Wharf.

The party tiki bar boat went by our window a few times.  Caught this photo...

We had coconut-crusted shrimp for an appetizer (no photo) and then we both ordered the coconut-crusted mahi mahi for our meals.  Always so good, and Tristan grabbed the bill and spoiled his grandma again.

The view wasn't good out there in the bay.  It was foggy and overcast and I had a little rain on the drive down there and back again.  I didn't care about the weather.  I  was just happy that Tristan made time for me while packing up and getting ready for his move back to DC Metro.

I was a greeter at church yesterday.  Did my laundry when I got home and also ordered Chinese food delivered for dinner.  Szechuan shrimp and wonton soup.  Yum.

I am off to the podiatrist this morning.  I am anxious to see what my toes look like and am sure I will get a new bandage.  It's only been two weeks since the surgery.  She told me upfront that I would have to wear the boot for four weeks.  I'm really over it, but will be good and do what I'm told.

This is a busy week with something going on every day.  Two somethings some days.  It's all good.

Peace and Hugs!

Blessed be the Name of the Lord,
Blessed be Your Name!
Blessed be the Name of the Lord,
Blessed be Your glorious Name!
