Friday Fotos...

I will have some photos later today and will come back to post them and report on my foot surgery.  Thanks to all who offered prayers.  I feel them.

UPDATE:

(Just a note:  My sister needed to go home yesterday morning.  She arrived home safely in the early afternoon.)

Neighbor Bill picked me up this morning at 5:00 a.m. and we arrived at the surgery center at 5:15 (no traffic at that hour!!).

I was the first patient in and found out I was Dr. Calvo's only surgery so there would be no waiting.  Bill left when they signed me in and left his number so he could return when I was ready to go home.  We were back home by 9:30!!   Wow!!

Dee came over to see how I was doing.  Susan came over too.  Miss Princess had to jump on my lap and she got treats so I was welcomed home well.

Susan returned around noon with chicken noodle soup, chicken rice soup, bread, and pecan pastries from Panera.  I have food for today and the entire weekend!

Susan is coming back around 4:00 to feed the cats and clean the litter boxes for me.  I am always blown away by my dear friends'/neighbors' generosity.

Dr. Calvo told me no driving for 24 hours so I have an excuse to be lazy tomorrow.  The pain is minimal (so far) but I do have some pain medication (super Tylenol) to take if I need it. Her instructions were basically to not walk too much (the pins can break if I over-do it) and to keep it DRY.  If it gets even a little wet, I am to call so they can re-dress it.  Infection is the biggest concern.

Vinny is on my lap and Casper is watching from the TV stand.  I'm watching Home Town.  Four weeks to go!

My Pastor called last night, our church Admin person texted that she added me to the prayer lists (and asked if I wanted meals - I said no).  Encouraging texts from family and friends dinged in on my phone all morning.  Feeling the prayers and the blessings!  Thank you!

Peace & Hugs!

Like a Shepherd,
Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries
Them all day long:
Praise Him! Praise Him!
