Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 525

From this Side of the Pond

1. Besides Thanksgiving (in the USA) what's one thing you're looking forward to in November?  A visit from my sister (in-law), Jo Anne, and cooler temperatures!!

2. Do you like candles? Your favorite scent? How often do you burn a candle in your home?  Candles are okay.  I can only do vanilla, cinnamon, not flowery scents because they hurt my head.  I don't burn candles often.

3. What gadgets did you use today?  Gadgets?  Is a cutting board a gadget? Coffee pot?  I didn't use too many gadgets...

4. This question is a repeat from one asked in November of 2014, but I liked it so it's coming round again. Many of you weren't here in 2014. Okay, you can have fifty pounds of something (anything but money)...what will you choose? Also, since I mentioned it...what were you up to in November of 2014?  Well, I was around back in 2014 and went back to find my answer.  This is what I wrote nine years ago:   Well, I could answer chocolate, or pasta, but seriously - I would take 50 pounds of food and donate it to our church's food bank.  There really isn't 50 pounds of anything that I need, but lots of people are not so fortunate.

5. 'Tis the season...what's something you're feeling especially grateful for today?  I am grateful everyday for my faith, my home, my family, my friends...

6. Insert your own random thought here.  My neighbors have been released from quarantine by their doctor! Yay for that!  My appointment with the dermatologist on Monday brought another something that she removed and sent to the lab.  Seems every time I go, something is found.  No worries. It will be what it will be and probably nothing, as usual.

Peace and hugs!

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: 2a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; 3a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; 7a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace" (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).
